Story :

Episode 1: The Awakening

In a distant future, humanity is on the brink of extinction due to mysterious creatures known as Klaxosaurs. To combat this threat, children are raised and trained in the Plantation, a massive fortress, to pilot giant mechs called FranXX. The story centers around Hiro, a former prodigious pilot who lost his motivation to pilot, and Zero Two, a mysterious and powerful half-human, half-Klaxosaur girl known as a "Partner Killer." When Hiro's latest partner fails, he meets Zero Two, and the two share a powerful connection that enables them to pilot together and defeat a massive Klaxosaur, reigniting Hiro's determination to fight.
